Love Struck: A Tale of Romance Amidst Rivalry in Goa

Indira School of Communication presents “Love Struck,” a riveting adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” set in the enchanting land of Goa. Directed by Subhadip Raha & Renu Garg, this production weaves a story of love emerging amidst two feuding families, against the backdrop of Goa’s mesmerizing scenery.

The play explores the depths of family conflict and the power of love to transcend all barriers. With a blend of drama, suspense, and vibrant dance, “Love Struck” captures the essence of Goan culture and the universal theme of love conquering adversity.

Rajmachi (2020-2023)

Rajmachi, Bhavna Antarmanachi” is a poignant documentary crafted by the final-year students of Indira School of Communication. Under the mentorship of Professor Shoyeb Shaikh, this film delves into the lives of the residents of Rajmachi village in Maharashtra, bringing to light their daily struggles amidst a scarcity of essential amenities like roads, electricity, and healthcare.

The documentary stands as a testament to the students’ dedication, showcasing their journey through the various stages of filmmaking, from research and scripting to editing and post- production. It’s not just a film; it’s an educational odyssey that epitomizes the spirit of learning by doing.

Having been selected for three film festivals, the documentary is a celebration of the collective effort of the students and faculty, and a beacon of inspiration for those who believe in the power of art to instigate societal change. “Rajmachi, Bhavna Antarmanachi” is more than a film—it’s a narrative of hope, perseverance, and the indomitable human spirit.

Utsanga ( 2020-2023))

Indira School of Communication's final year students proudly present 'Utsanga,' a short film showcasing their filmmaking prowess. Under Professor Shoyeb Shaikh's mentorship, they've crafted a narrative inspired by a male classical dancer's journey. This project encapsulates their journey from scriptwriting to editing, highlighting their creative and technical growth.
